Compared to previous editions, ACT Expo 2026 was light on new products. While it remains one of the best showcases of commercial vehicle technology in the world, the expo is suffering the blowback from a stillborn electric vehicle market that, partly due to changes in government policy, partly due to limited demand, has failed to develop as expected in North America. Startup companies that used the show to launch their new electric products are no longer in business. Yet, there was one product announcement at the 2026 expo that would be significant at any time or place: a new electric drive axle, developed by Hendrickson in partnership with Driventic.
